Prison Island Illustrated - Episode One follows a different line than the original story line, as it covers events that Francesco couldn't have known as the only character from whose POV the story was told.

Therefore, Episode One is more Karl-centric and contains scenes that happened before the guys left for the island. In this episode, Karl finds out from his father about his punishment for trying to rob a bank, and then he's locked in a cell. Mouse walks in and they strike a conversation, during which each one tries to find out what the other knows. To secure Karl's involvement in sticking together for survival, Mouse offers Karl a blowjob.

As their cell door is unlocked, Mouse invites Karl on a ride around the compound to see the other guys that are going to be sent with them to the prison island. Mouse realizes too late that it would have been better to keep his mouth shut, because Karl wants to inspect all the cells on the block, and that's how he sets his eyes on Francesco for the first time.
