The Red-Haired Bearer (Tasha's Story) - 1 - Teaser
Author's note: As the universe of The Human Bearer expands, I'm starting to write other characters' story, with Tasha being first. It's all about how Tasha became Marn's bearer, and all the crazy stuff happening in that household, with Xer going crazy over him, and our dear redhead getting caught between two snakemen and their hot cocks.
Currently, Tasha's story is at the first chapter, which is now available on my SubscribeStar for my subscribers in the Silver and Superfan tiers.

It was weird to stand naked like that in front of a
commission made of old people. They studied his papers with keen eyes. Tasha
hoped that it wasn’t some ruse to put him to hard labor or something of the
kind. All sorts of stories filled the streets lately.
Someone walked into the room, a woman with her hair styled
into a severe bun. She could be in her thirties, forties, or fifties. It was
hard to tell. Her immobile face seemed carved in stone as she threw him a cursory
look. Her heels clicked on the hard floor, breaking the silence. Then, she
handed the head of the commission a small device.
Tasha stared, curious of what that might be. The old man in
charge placed the device on the table, and Tasha took a step back when a
hologram appeared in front of his eyes, generated by the device.
It was a Xeno, so much larger that what he had imagined those
snakemen to be. And he had an imposing presence, his upper body being covered by
a dark blue tunic with golden accents. His hair was grey and his eyes were
shrewd.
“Is this the applicant?” he asked in a direct voice, as he
measured Tasha up and down.
“Yes, Your Excellency,” the head of the commission hurried to
say.
The metallic eyes bore into him. “Turn, Earthian, and present
yourself to me.”
Tasha turned slowly, unsure of what was happening. The
clicking of heels let him know the woman was near. Without ceremony, she made
him bend from the waist and then, her cold hands were at this ass, pulling
apart his butt cheeks.
“Hey, lady,” he protested.
“Your Excellency, we must warn you. According to the local
police, he is well known for lewd conduct,” the old man made an attempt to
speak.
Tasha grunted in displeasure. So, slut shaming was on the
menu. Go figure. Whatever. He would embellish the story he’d tell later to his
crew. He’d leave this humiliation out of it.
“Explain,” the Xeno commanded.
“He is known to offer sexual services in exchange for small
favors.”
“In Earthian terms, he is a whore, Your Excellency.” That was
the woman who was still holding his ass. There was no judgement in her voice as
she said it. Just a simple fact. “Is he to your liking?”
“Is he usually successful in these endeavors?” the Xeno
asked.
“Yes,” the woman replied. “His manner is very convincing, besides
his looks.”
“I see. Very well. Arrange for his delivery at once.”
Delivery? What? Tasha could swear he hadn’t heard right. The
woman let go of him and he turned, but the hologram was gone. The commission
was busy gathering the papers from their large desk, murmuring something
between them.
“Am I free to go?” he asked, feeling stupid for it, too.
“No,” the woman replied, seemingly in charge. “Starting
today, you belong to His Royal Chancellor of Xeno, Marn Savier.
Congratulations, Tasha O’Brien. You have officially become a bearer.”
“But--” he started. He took a few steps towards the woman,
whose cold eyes set on him expectantly, making him stop dead in his tracks.
“Is there a problem?” she asked.
“I don’t have blond hair,” Tasha argued feebly.
“How did he pass the basic IQ test?” the woman asked, turning
her head towards the old people at the desk, and adding insult to injury.
“Hey, I’m not stupid,” Tasha protested. “Just… shocked.”
“I see. It doesn’t matter. You will be given a strong
sleeping pill to take you through the intergalactic flight to Xeno. And Tasha
O’Brien,” she added, “don’t embarrass our species. You have just been selected
to carry the egg of the most powerful Xeno on the planet.”
He must have mumbled something as a reply but later, he wouldn’t
remember what it was. Shock was too little a word to describe what he was
experiencing right now.
